Heh.
Well, I hoped to post more before August started, but it didn’t happen. And a new month is already here, along with the new academic semester, I am afraid. Classes begin next week.
So… what have I been up to? I have been watching TV, reading a novel (Wolves of the Beyond series, Lone Wolf, by Kathryn Lasky), and working on one of my personal Web projects. And recenrly, I have also felt like roleplaying a bit and rewriting Medunian’s world history.
The world of Medunian, you see, was the subject of the longest piece of fiction I ever wrote, and that was during a period between years 2005 and 2006. It has been a while. I stopped working on it when I got into a serious writer’s block due to a new and unexpected episode of depression. Depression has always been the main cause or trigger of my failures at becoming productive. Anyway, I never got back to it, and after that period, my motivation to write and create art has pretty much dwindled, with very scarce moments in which it would return to its peak, only to leave again.
Ergo, I do not want to waste this chance, this boost of inspiration; I want to practise and improve my writing. I still dream about writing fiction someday, sharing my stories with as many people as I can reach. :3 I also wish to get back to roleplaying the way I used to back then, because those were wonderful times for me.
However, since the new semester is about to start, I cannot distract myself too much. I have to focus on recovering my good grades, because last year was catastrophic for me. I will try to write a few sentences every day, at the least. I have other things to work on the side, like SQ, some other projects I am helping with, and the new forum community that I will be lauching this month. Of the latter, I will blog more about… tomorrow, perhaps.
Well, sorry for the lack of interesting posts. I hope to get back in rythm very soon, though! :D
