An Introduction~!

Greetings, fellows!

This is my first journal entry, so… I suppose I should introduce myself!

My name is Naymimi, though you may just call me Nay.  I am a Tarutaru of the Kingdom of San D’Oria.  Yes, I was born here, just like my brother Otaru; it’s because our parents traveled all the way from Windurst when they were very young, and eventually decided to establish their home within the Elvaan nation’s walls.

(The truth is, I’ve never been too far away from here, so I never had the chance to visit the Federation of Windurst, where the majority of the Tarutaru race lives today.  But hopefully I will, someday!)

But let’s get back to my parents.  You see…  Of their two children, I am the younger one — and the only female.  My brother started adventuring five years ago, and now it’s my turn to join the ranks and begin my training, since I’m old enough and I feel ready for it.  I am so excited!

The first thing I did when I officially became an Adventurer was choose a job.  After giving it enough thought, I decided that I want to become a Scholar someday, but I chose to start as a White Mage.  Maybe in the future I’ll change my mind and decide to train in another profession, though…  One never knows!

Anyway!

Yesterday was my first time hunting outside the gates, and it was quite thrilling!  At times, I thought that I wouldn’t be able to handle it, and I was very scared… But my brother was there to aid me, so there was no reason to feel like that.  He supported me during the first few battles, curing my wounds and casting protecting spells on me all the time.  Then, when he finally had to leave, I was already feeling more confident.

The training consisted of hunting various pugils, rabbits and worms, from West and East Ronfaure.  I found a few chests along the way, with items inside, including a Brass Cap, which I’ll probably sell later at the auction house.  Also, my brother gave me some money to spend on a better weapon and basic equipment.

By the end of the day, I was walking back to the gates, tired, but very happy.  In fact, I think I’ve never been happier!

Furthermore, on the way to my Mog House, I met a lady named Alaune, who told me that she was willing to teach me some more things about adventuring.  I gladly accepted her offering, and she gave me a few assignments, which I’ve yet to complete.  Oh!  And I think she plans on rewarding me for every assignment, too, so I will not miss the chance of learning something new, and earning items at the same time!

Today, I opted for staying, making plans for the next few days.  I think I’ll be focusing on joining a few missions for the next couple of days, and exploring King Ranperre’s Tomb — that will be fun!  After that, I’ll probably walk all the way to La Theine Plateau to complete one of Alaune’s pending assignments.  By the time I do all these things, I think I’ll be ready to adventure even farther from home…  I can’t wait!

Well, I think that’s all for now.  It’s time to go to sleep.  Tomorrow will be a busy day for me!

Bye bye~!
