This idea was originally planned as a short Web comic, but I decided to turn it into a game.
Taking closely after the original concept, this game aims to tell the story of a new adventurer from the moment she arrives in the Melandor peninsula. She is a Blue Witch who, like many other newly arrived adventurers, wants to find own her place in the memories of the folk, for many generations to come. However, being clumsy and naive as she is, and with so much competition out there, this will be much more difficult than she could fathom. In her way, the witch will encounter beggars, drunken veterans, fearsome mercenaries, great witches, greedy goblins, forest fairies, ugly ogres, creepy spooks, and many other interesting characters and creatures.
I plan on making this game relatively short and simple, yet a little different from its parent project. Its focus is on the further development of Melandor’s lore, geography and characters, in order to later take these new ideas into the main game. It is also meant to be humorous and lighthearted. It’ll probably appeal to a younger audience… or maybe not. It really doesn’t matter.
I love ASCII “graphics”, art and games. If you do, I hope you’ll enjoy this little RPG once it’s out. And YES, I DO plan on finishing this one!
The game features ASCII-inspired graphics, just like the original SilverQuest. It also shares many of the same scenarios and music of the online game.
SilverQuest and Melandor are both original creations of Wolfgang Wozniak. I am just a collaborator. I am creating this game with his consent and support.
